Joseph G. "Joe"  Keough
Joseph G. Keough, 57, of Freehold Township passed away suddenly on July 24, 2016 in his home. He was born in The Bronx, was raised and had lived in Old Bridge and Manalapan before settling here in 1997. Joe worked in the Old Bridge School System for 33 years before retiring in 2011. In retirement, he worked as a field representative for NJEA in Monmouth County. He was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold and a member of The Order of the Friendly Sons of Shillelagh, Old Bridge. An avid Mets supporter, he was a fan of Clint Eastwood movies. For Joe, family always came first.
He was predeceased by his father, Joseph G. Keough. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Carol Keough; three sons, Sean Keough of Ramsey, Brian Keough of Freehold Township and Conner Keough of Freehold Township; his mother, Maureen Keough of Jackson; a sister, Tricia Van Clef and her husband, George, of Jackson; a niece, Katelyn Van Clef; and nephew, Daniel Van Clef.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 9:00 AM on Friday, July 29, 2016 for the procession to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
