Obituary for Bruce C. Lennox

Bruce C. Lennox
Bruce C. Lennox, 84, of Jackson passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Bruce was born in Brooklyn, raised in Dumont and had lived in Oradell and Freehold before settling in Jackson in 2001. A US Navy Veteran, Bruce was a CB (construction battalion) and deep sea diver during his service. He had worked at Grey Advertising, Gaynor and Ducas, and Norman, Craig and Kummel Agency, prior to working as an Ad Director for Architectural Digest. A member of the Westlake Golf and Country Club, an avid Giants fan and a good listener, Bruce was a mediation volunteer for the Freehold Township Municipal Court System for 15 years. He was known to frequent Federici’s South every Friday night, and when he would share a story, you wouldn’t know if it was a joke or the truth until he recited the punch line. All who knew Bruce loved him and will miss him.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Lennox in 1952; and his daughter, Laura Lennox Campbell in 1996. Bruce is survived by his adoring wife of 63 years, Joan Lennox of Jackson; daughters, Linda DeVincenzo and her husband, Gary of Howell and Lisa Lennox and her wife, Debbie Thomforde of Salsbury, NC; four grandchildren, Kyle Campbell, Rachel DeVincenzo, Ashley DeVincenzo and Aaron Thomforde; two great grandchildren, Alexander Thomforde and Gavin Thomforde; and one sister, Elspeth Kerber of FL.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Monday, January 30, 2017 for the procession to his 9:30 AM funeral service at Hope Lutheran Church, 211 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township.
