Claire M. Faistl, 92, of Freehold Township died Friday, July 21, 2017 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Faistl was born in Weehawken and had lived in Toms River before moving to Freehold Township in 2007. For many years, Claire was a communicant of the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, Freehold Township and a former communicant of St. Justin Catholic Church, Toms River. Prior to her retirement in 1976, Claire was a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital, Hoboken.
She was predeceased by her husband, William J. Faistl in 2008. She is survived by her sons, Dr. Kenneth Faistl and his wife, Kathleen of Colts Neck, and Donald Faistl and his wife, Susan of Middletown; daughter, Kathleen Dallavalle and her husband, Til of Marlboro; sister, Patricia Scarrone; sister-in-law, Grace Quinn; nine grandchildren, Christine Quisenberry and her husband, Eric, Jeffrey Faistl, Timothy Faistl, Robyn Webb and her husband, Bill, Meredith Faistl, Stephanie Faistl, Til J. Dallavalle and his wife, Melanie, Kelly Dallavalle, and Colleen Petrick and her husband, William; seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. Relatives and friends may gather at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment will follow in Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Claire’s name may be made to either the Development Department Tisch MS Research Center of New York, 521, W. 57th Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10019; Birthright, 294 Broad Street #1, Red Bank, NJ 07701; or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
