Dorothy R. Fuchs, 82, of Freehold Township passed away on June 28, 2017 at CareOne at Jackson. She was born and raised in Jersey City, moved to Jackson in 1964 and settled in Freehold Township in 1982. Dorothy worked in the Department for Social Services for the Township of Freehold. Dorothy loved to play bingo, enjoyed reading and was known to be fierce and outspoken. Her feisty personality will be missed.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph Gimello in 1977; her second husband, Sol Fuchs in 2007; and her grandson, Anthony Ryan Gimello in 2010. Dorothy is survived by two sons, Joseph Gimello of Osage Beach, MO; and Anthony Gimello of Eldon, MS; stepdaughter, Susan Carroll and her husband, Edward of Jackson; stepson, David Fuchs of Ohio; grandchildren, Joseph Peppard, Sally Gimello and her wife, Vanessa; Anthony Gimello, Jr., Jonna Williamsen, Dominick Gimello, and Vincent Gimello; step-grandchildren, Katherine Powell, David Fuchs, Jr. and Courtney Carroll; and great grandchildren, Gianni Simeone, Aiden Gimello and Xzayden Gimello.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM with her funeral service to follow. Interment will follow in Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown.
