Obituary for Michael J. Rice
Michael J. Rice, 60, of Freehold Township passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Queens, NY, he was a life-long resident of Freehold Township. Michael was an automotive specialist with the Sansone Group for over 20 years until his retirement in 2013. He had a passion for Ford automobiles, especially Edsel, and was Vice President of the Edsel Club of America and a certified AACA judge. Michael enjoyed attending car shows and was a certified pilot.
He was predeceased by his wife, Judith Rice; his parents, John and Jean Rice; and brother, Kevin P. Rice. Michael is survived by two brothers, John W. Rice of TN, and Timothy J. Rice of VT; a sister, Maureen Gozzo, of Toms River; several nieces and nephews; two grand-nieces; and one grand-nephew.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM with his 4:00 PM funeral service to follow at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Michael’s name may be made to Paramount Center for the Arts, 518 State Street, Bristol, TN 37620.
