Linda Ann Whitaker
Linda Ann Whitaker, 67, of Freehold passed away peacefully at home Friday, April 14, 2017. Linda was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She lived in Sayreville, NJ with her loving husband Paul before moving to Freehold Township in 1982 to raise their family. She was commonly referred to as “Gigi”, especially by her adoring grandchildren. Linda was an administrative assistant at the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office and a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. She thoroughly enjoyed traveling and spending time at any Shore wearing her signature flip-flops. Linda’s family all took comfort that as a true woman of faith, she was born on All Saints Day and passed on Good Friday.
She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Whitaker; and her brother, Edward Cali. Linda is survived by her children, Paul Whitaker and his wife, Rizza of San Diego, CA, Kelly Barton and her husband, Jason of Jackson, NJ, and Barbara Baaden of Albany, NY; three grandchildren, Adrianna, Anthony and Ashton; and countless close relatives and friends who were dearest to her on this journey.
Linda and her family would encourage you to donate time and/or resources to the American Cancer Society to help the fight against cancer.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 254), Freehold Township on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 8:45 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, 299 Freehold Englishtown Road, Freehold Township.
