Obituary for Dennis E. FitzGerald
Dennis E. FitzGerald, 61, of Farmingdale passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017. He was born in Jersey City, raised in Hazlet, and had lived in East Brunswick, Brick and Wall before moving to Farmingdale in 1996. He was a devoted husband and loving father, always putting family first.
Dennis was predeceased by his wife, Nancy in 2012. He is survived by two sons, Russel and Connor FitzGerald, both of Farmingdale; a brother, Thomas FitzGerald; three sisters, Sharon Conroy and her husband, William, Kathleen Drake and her husband, Donald and Nancy Calamusa and her husband, John; his mother-in-law, Teresa Porter; a sister-in-law, Cathy Kornutik and her husband, Gregory; a brother-in-law, Joseph Porter and his wife, Joyce of Piscataway; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 9:00 AM on Monday, March 20, 2017 for the procession to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale. Interment will be private. For those who desire, contributions in memory of Dennis may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Covenant House, 330 Washington Street, Newark, NJ 07102.
