Frank Lombardi, 74, of Jackson passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Frank was born in Jersey City, raised in Freehold Township and moved to Jackson in 1967. A member of Operating Engineers Local 825, he worked as a Project Superintendent for J. Fletcher Creamer & Son, Inc. until he retired in 2014. Frank collected World War II model trains, and loved the outdoors and spending time at the beach, specifically Cape May. More than anything he enjoyed spending time with his family and building things with his grandson.
He was predeceased by his brother, Anthony Lombardi in 1989. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Larraine Lombardi of Jackson; daughter, Krista Maciorowski and her husband, Richard of Colonia; son, Kirk Lombardi of Philadelphia; two grandchildren, Richard Maciorowski and Jaclyn Maciorowski; brother, Dominick Lombardi and his wife, Carleen of Freehold Township; sister-in-law, Katherine Miniter and her husband, Richard of Rockaway; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 7:45 AM for the procession to his 9:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson. Entombment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, 299 Freehold-Englishtown Road, Freehold Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Frank’s name may be made to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, The Wanamaker Building, 100 Penn Square East, 8th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19107.
