Philip J.  LaQuaglia
Philip J. LaQuaglia, 74, of Freehold Township passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Philip was born in Elizabeth and had lived in Westfield before settling here in 1992. He was a longshoreman for Sea Land / Maersk, Port Elizabeth for 37 years. Philip’s hobbies included photography, gardening and decorating for the holidays. He enjoyed going to car shows and driving his 1981 El Camino; and was a wonderful grandpa to his grandchildren.
Philip is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cynthia LaQuaglia; two daughters, Christina Papettas and her husband, Bill, of Delaware; and Lisa LaQuaglia of Florida; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Cynthia; brother, Peter LaQuaglia of New Jersey; sister, Maryann Vaccarelli of Florida; brother-in-law, Jan Lech of Arizona; three nephews and two nieces.
All arrangements were private and under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
