Paul M.  Szewczyk
Paul M. Szewczyk, 89, of Manalapan passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the Manor, Freehold Township. Paul was born and raised in Linden and raised his family in Colonia. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran during World War II from 1944 to 1946 serving in the Pacific Theater. He was a pipefitter for Merck Pharmacuticals, Rahway for over forty-five years retiring in 1992.
Paul was predeceased by his wife, Pearl; two brothers; and three sisters. He is survived by his four daughters, Deborah Countryman and her husband, Mark of Asbury Park,NJ, Paula McCarthy and her husband, Greg of Guilford, CT, Gloria Lombardi and her husband, Tom of Manalapan, NJ and Donna Casey and her husband, Glenn of Hampton, NJ; ten grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 9:00 AM for the procession to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Twp. Inurnment will follow in Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown at the convience of the family. For those who desire memorial contributions in Paul’s name may be made to the Children’s Home Society, 635 South Clinton Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08611.
