Obituary for Adam James Rarela

Adam  James  Rarela
Adam James Rarela, 18, of Marlboro passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016. Adam was born on February 17, 1998. He was a 2016 graduate of Marlboro High School and was preparing to attend Kean University this fall to study Physical Therapy. He loved to swim, play volleyball, and ride his skateboard and play video games. Most of all, Adam loved to be surrounded by his family and friends. Adam was a true musician. He played guitar, he sang, but playing the drums was closest to his heart. Most recently Adam was a member of “My Lonely Heart Band.”

Adam is survived by his parents, Dante and Marites Valles Rarela; two brothers, Daniel Rarela and Christian Rarela; his paternal grandparents, Virgilio and Gregoria Rarela of Freehold; seven uncles; eight aunts; and numerous cousins. Adam was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Gregorio and Teresa Valles.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 100 North Main Street (Route 79), Marlboro, NJ 07746. Interment will be private. For those who desire, memorial contributions in Adam’s name may be made to St. Gabriel Catholic Church.
