Obituary for David C. Huff

David C.  Huff
David C. Huff, 81, of Freehold Township passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Applewood Estates. David was born, raised and had lived in Jersey City. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran during the Korean War serving from 1953 to 1960. David raised his family in Cliffwood Beach before settling in Silvermead in Freehold Township in 2000. He retired from Ames, Secaucus as a Warehouse Manager after twenty years of service. In retirement, David was a security manager for Lolly Togs, Cranbury. He was a proud member of the American Legion. Always known to be tinkering, David loved his gadgets. He enjoyed his trips to Atlantic City and loved spending time in Las Vegas.
David was predeceased by his five brothers and five sisters. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dolores; two daughters, Dina Kunz of Toms River and Dana Thorne and her husband, Jeff of Freehold Township; two granddaughters, Skyler and Carly Thorne; a brother, Thomas Huff and his wife, Vivian of California; a sister, Ruth Cross of Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 3:30 to 7:30 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:15 AM Funeral Service at the funeral home on Saturday, July 30, 2016. Entombment will follow in Fair View Cemetery, Red Bank. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David’s name may be made to either St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Wounded Warriors Project, P. O.
