Denise  Sokolovski (DeSio)
Denise DeSio Sokolovski, 61, of Freehold Township passed away at CentraState Medical Center on Sunday, July 17, 2016 after a courageous fight with a lengthy illness. Denise made her living as a Medical Transcriptionist in various hospitals throughout Monmouth and Middlesex County. Along with her husband, she was a member of the Alzheimer’s Society of New York. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Bar Harbor, Maine. Denise was known for her contagious smile, the sound of her frequent laughter and always being the life of the party. She could meet you once, study your personality and give you a gift that was wrapped as pretty as the present that was inside.
Denise is predeceased by her mother Dorothy DeSio. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Alex Sokolovski of Freehold Township; one son, Nicholas Sokolovski of Freehold Township; her father, David DeSio of Howell; her sister, Debbie Del Monico and her husband, Chris, of Howell; her brother, David DeSio and his wife, Jean, of Piscataway; three nieces, Dana Speziale,
Christine Del Monico and Jessica Del Monico; two nephews, Alex Eftoski and Daniel DeSio; and three great nieces and nephews, Jonathan, Darren and Olivia.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, July 22, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale.
