Christine D. Rolland (Drumheller)
Christine Drumheller Rolland, 79, of Freehold Township, NJ, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016. Born in Pottsville, PA on December 4, 1936 to J. Harold and Christine H. Drumheller, she grew up in Orwigsburg, PA, and had lived in Freehold since 1969. She taught English from 1958-59 in Ephrata, PA, and from 1959-61 in Schwenksville, PA. For over 18 years, she was an English and Social Studies teacher at the Dwight D. Eisenhower School in Freehold, retiring in 1997.
Christine is survived by her husband of 57 years, Grey; children, Allison and Eric of Freehold, Grey and wife, Beth of Syracuse, NY, Matthew and wife, Deanna of Newark, DE; grandchildren Benjamin of Wall, NJ, and Caleb of Newark, DE; and brother, Joseph and wife, Nancy of Landenberg, PA.
The memorial service will be Saturday July 9 at 12:30 PM at the Colts Neck Reformed Church, 139 Route 537, Colts Neck, NJ. Friends, relatives, and former students are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Longhouse Council Boy Scouts of America, 2803 Brewerton Road, Syracuse, NY 13211 or to the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, 3300 Route 66, Neptune, NJ 07753.
