Barbara Wechsler, 71, of Freehold passed away peacefully on Monday, May 2, 2016. Barbara was born and raised in Brooklyn and moved to Freehold in the 1980’s. She worked for fifteen years as a advertising traffic manager for Bloomberg LP in NYC, retiring in 2007. Barbara enjoyed spending time on the Point Pleasant Beach, reading and cooking. She was a loving mother, devoted Grandma and dear friend, generous with her time and heart.
Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Victor and Rose Costino and a brother, Leonard Costino. She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Puharic and her husband, Neven of Freehold Township; a son, Eric Wechsler of Jackson; three grandchildren, Alexander, Ryan, and Kathryn; a sister-in-law, Diane Costino; and her nieces and nephew, Teri, Cathy, John, Kelley, and Kristy.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 6:30 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 6, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
