Philomena “Frances” Renna, 81, of Freehold Township passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Bethesda Hospital East, Boynton Beach, Florida. Frances was born, raised, and had lived in Brooklyn before moving to Freehold Township in 1991. She was a secretary for the Northeast Sales Department of Eastern Airlines at JFK Airport until their closing. Frances then worked for United Airlines until her retirement. She was a former parishioner of St. Bernard’s of Clairvaux Parish, Brooklyn. Along with her husband, Frank, they enjoyed the thrill of travel. Whether it was cruising the Caribbean, or traveling around the world, they loved to see it all.
Frances was predeceased by her twin sister, Ann; three sisters, Anna, Natalie, and Rose; two brothers, Sal and Joe; and a son-in-law, Charles. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Frank; children, Linda Sobel of Colts Neck, Steven Renna and his wife, Lisa of Marlboro, and Janet Alario and her husband, Charlie of North Brunswick; eight grandchildren, Lauren Sobel, Jenna Sobel, Lindsey Sobel, Brianna Renna, Austin Renna, Anthony Alario, Nancy Beliveau and her husband, Ryan, and Linda Alario; two great grandchildren, Ana Julia, and Connor; numerous nieces and nephews; and dear friends.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, 100 North Main Street, Marlboro. Entombment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum. For those who desire, memorial contributions in Frances’ name may be made to American Lung Association, 1600 Route 22 East, Union, NJ 07083.
