Joyce M. Stipple, 83, of Whiting passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Joyce was born, raised and had lived in Englishtown before moving to Whiting in 2015. She was a special deputy at the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office for twenty-five years, retiring in 1996. Joyce was a member of the Englishtown Planning Board for 35 years and the Englishtown Fire Department Ladies Auxillary, also for 35 years. She was a council member and past president for Englishtown from 1983-1991. Joyce was also a former member of the Englishtown Historical and Development Committees and the Sanford Memorial Methodist Church.
Joyce is survived by her husband, William P. Stipple; a son, Robert W. Stipple and his girlfriend, Barbara Merten of Whiting; a granddaughter, Tania Kay Wilcox and her husband, Stephen of Englishtown; and two sisters, JoAnn Olenik of Eutawville, SC and Barbara Rushworth of South River.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Monday, May 2, 2016. Interment will follow in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. For those who desire, memorial contributions in memory of Joyce may be made to JDRF, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004.
