Evelyn G.  Errickson (Dooley)
Evelyn G. Errickson, 89, of Howell passed peacefully at her son’s house on Friday, April 22, 2016 surrounded by many of her immediate family. She was born in Newark, relocated to Freehold Township in 1936 and later moved to Howell. Evelyn had driven a school bus for many years for Howell Township Elementary Schools, and later worked at Walmart in Howell where she was one of the original employees. She was a friend to many, always smiling and had a kind word for all she met.
Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, John M. Dooley, Sr. and Georgia Dooley; husband, Kenneth D. Errickson, Sr.; two brothers, Robert and John who was killed in action during World War II; and two sisters, Catherine and Janet. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Errickson, Jr. and his wife, Lynn of Howell; daughter, Cynthia Van Pelt and her husband, Louis of Collingswood; five grandsons, three granddaughters; and eleven great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Fabian of Hudson, FL; brother, John Dooley of Easley, SC; and sisters-in-law, Mae Pekarchik of Farmingdale and Edna Erbe of Brick.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, April 25, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Interment will follow in Adelphia Cemetery, Howell. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Evelyn may be made to Meridian Hospice, 1340 Campus Parkway, Wall, NJ 07753.
