Patricia Ann Pennella, 85, of Margate, FL passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, March 19, 2016. Patricia was born in Jersey City and raised in the Freewood Acres section of Howell. She had lived in Kearny, Sayreville, and Freehold Twp. before moving to Margate in 2013. She had worked for RCA in Harrison, A&P Supermarkets, and retired as a new account associate for Bankers Trust, Sayreville. Patricia was a former parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, South Amboy and also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.
Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Peter Pennella; a sister, Mary Smith; her parents, Daniel and Eileen Guzzardi, and a brother-in-law, Samuel Guido. She is survived by her children, Daniel Pennella and his wife, Lori of Margate, FL and Denise Fitzgerald and her husband, John of Coral Springs, FL; three grandchildren, Megan Pennella of Los Angeles, CA, Sean and Eric Fitzgerald, both of Coral Springs, FL; three sisters, Ellen Marino and her husband, Ray and twins, Anna Marie O’Neill and her husband, Peter and Angela Guido, all of Freehold Township; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Krieger of Bay St. Louis, MS; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick.
