Claire F. Ford, 68, of Farmingdale passed away on Monday, December 7, 2015 at the Manor by the Sea, Ocean Grove. Claire was born in Waterbury, Connecticut, raised in Oakville, Connecticut and had lived in Eatontown before moving to Farmingdale inn 1977. She retired as a confidential secretary to the Business Administrator/ Board Secretary for the Eatontown Board of Education, prior to that was a secretary and teachers aid in the Farmingdale Public School. Claire was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Farmingdale. She enjoyed knitting and sewing and was a Hummel collector. Claire had a passion for baking, but her greatest joy was for her family.
Claire was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Mary Barnosky; and a brother, Peter Barnosky. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, William “Bill” Ford of Farmingdale; two daughters, Mary Morison and her husband, Angus of Wall and Kelly Ford of Eatontown; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 9:00 AM for the procession to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Chapel, North Main Street, Farmingdale for her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass.
