Nancy O’Connell, 67, of Freehold Township passed away on Monday, May 4, 2015 at CentraState Medical Center. Nancy was born in Elizabeth, was raised in Roselle Park and had lived in Irvington and Neptune City before settling in Freehold Township in 1985. Along with her husband, John, she founded and operated A & A Truck Parts, Inc. and A & A Iron & Metal, Freehold Twp. Nancy enjoyed shopping and gardening, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Nancy is survived by her husband of forty-five years, John O’Connell, Sr.; a son, John O’Connell, Jr. and his wife, Julie of Jackson; three grandchildren, Emily, Abigael and Jack; her sister, Elaine Pecoraro and her husband, Thomas of Buffalo, NY; two nephews, Nick Pecoraro and his wife, Sierra of Buffalo, NY and Joshua Pecoraro of Brick; two great nieces, Lilliana and Lucy; and her dear friend, Anna Temple and her husband, James of Monticello, NY.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township on Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:30 PM with her funeral service to follow at 4:30 PM. Interment will be private. For those who desire, memorial contributions in Nancy’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.
