Obituary for Timothy P. O'Connor

Timothy P. O’Connor, 81, of Clearwater, FL passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013 at Suncoast Hospice Care Center, Palm Harbor. Tim was born in New York and lived in North Bergen before moving to Florida. He was a Pressman for The Daily News and for The Newark Star Ledger before retiring. Tim served in the US Marine Corp during the Korean War.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Jane in 2007. Tim is survived by two sons, Daniel and Timothy; two daughters, Teresa Ann and Kathleen; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM funeral service on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Tim’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
