To Tina's Family: I taught Tina English in her junior year at FTHS and enjoyed her thoroughly. She was insightful, confident in her direction, and a mature voice in the classroom. I saw her again after my retirement when I read stories to children at Barnes and Noble in Howell. She had already gone through her treatments, but she loved her children and had such a good outlook on life. I recently saw that she lost her battle with cancer--and just wanted the family to know what an impact she made on others and how much I admired her as a student then and as a mother/friend now. I am thinking of all of you as we head into the holiday season. Your loss is a shared loss with the community and those who knew her. The pictures you posted captured her spirit. Our families knew each other before we did and your mom and I became so very close through the years. However, our connection through pregnancy brought laughter and joy for all of us. Then, together with our breast cancers, we supported each other and through our stories we gained support through tough and trying times. There are many memories within our families, but mine with you, will be as someone I share a very personal journey with. A very, very dear friend, you are now an angel watching over all of us; free from pain and full of light. I will carry you in my heart always!

Tina was a lovely, devoted and energetic member of the Sunrise Optimist Club during the time I served as treasurer. I was impressed with the great amount of time and energy that she gave to the club while she was a young mother and wife herself. Her calm and cooperative demeanor was helpful to us all. Suffering from the same disease, I especially appreciate all her efforts to support the fight to find a cure. I wish it had come in her lifetime. I am sorry that the disease overcame her at such a young age -- she was robbed of too many years. My thoughts are with her children, husband, parents, family and friends. It is obvious from the photos on this page that she was surrounded by their love and caring throughout her life. May they find peace in the memories shared with her.

As the facilitator of the Breast Cancer Support Group at CentraState Health Awareness Center, I have known Tina since the beginning of her journey with breast cancer. I don't believe I have ever met a more valiant and courageous woman with such dedication to a cause and to life! I watched as she fought bravely, time after time seeming to defy the odds. In the end, this horrific disease won, and allowed Tina to pass from this life of suffering to a place of peace and joy. Tina will be remembered for the beautiful person that she was, and for the many lives she touched. May God grant peace to her grieving family and friends.

Tina was a wonderful person and I have many wonderful memories with her as a friend. I was very sorry to hear that she lost her battle with cancer and wish that there had been a different outcome. Life is short and it is horrible that people have to be reminded of this when great people like Tina have to leave after such a short time. I've been blessed to know Tina since middle school, and although we lost contact for many years, I am so thankful that we regained contact 2 years ago. Her strength and courage have been such an inspiration. As an active member of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Freehold, Tina is the reason that I will continue to walk and fight this horrid disease. I dedicate my 2011 walk to her; I only wish she could be there in person with me. To Terry, Paul, Ashley, Jennifer, and the whole family, I am very upset that I can't be there with you this week to remember and pay tribute to Tina. Tina was a hard, dedicated worker for the Sunrise Optimist Club, and a pleasure to work with. She served on the Club's Youth Club Committee with me when I was Committee Chair and Club President, and later on the NJ District Youth Club Committee when I was Governor. So young, just a baby herself, but she endured, and was so brave, and kind, and when she spoke you just had to stop and listen, her voice was so sweet. As children we would stay up all night watching movies. I specifically remember staying up one night and watching ‘Thelma and Louise’, ‘Boyz in the Hood’, ‘Point Break’, and ‘The People Under the Stairs’. Still to this day I am not sure how we made it through the night. But Thelma and Louise will always remind me of Tina.

Everyone remembers a person in a different way...I remember Tina as a happy, self assured, polite, graceful, beautiful woman who had the ability to make you feel comfortable from the very first moment you saw her.
