Evan Seth Giventer, 31, of Freehold Township passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was born on Staten Island and lived in Old Bridge before moving to Freehold Township with his family in 1999. Evan was a graduate of the Childrens Center of Neptune Class of 2007. He enjoyed the pool, taking walks with his Yorkie, Bella, looking at the leaves and listening to the seagulls and waves crashing at the beach. He also enjoyed spending time with his nurses, known as his angels, which were his best friends. A blessing to his entire family, affectionately known as “Evan from Heaven” and “The Prince of Evanville”, he taught them about life and faith without saying a word. He gave his love through his smile and contagious belly laugh.
He was predeceased by his father, Barnet E. Giventer in 2008; paternal grandfather, Sidney Giventer in 1979; maternal grandmother, Angela DeVino in 2003; and maternal grandfather, Daniel Bill in 2005. Evan is survived by his mother, Donna Giventer of Freehold Township; sister, Sara Giventer of Freehold Township; paternal grandmother, Mildred Giventer of Tinton Falls; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nurses, friends and neighbors, all of whom loved him to the moon and back.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.
