Obituary for Donna Marie Hett

Donna Marie  Hett
Donna M. Hett, 60, of Howell, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in Staten Island and moved to Howell in 1995. Donna worked for Continental Insurance in New York City for 20 years and retired from the Howell Fire Department Bureau in 2008 as an administrative assistant after eight years of dedicated service. In Donna’s spare time she enjoyed playing mahjong, and baking, and was often known as a social butterfly. She loved children and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Michael Varriano in 2013 and her sister, Mary Lou DeSantis in 2016. Donna is survived by her husband of 28 years, Glenn Hett of Howell; two daughters, Amanda Del Ponte and her husband, Pasquale of Wall, and Brianna Hett of Howell; a grandson, Pasquale Del Ponte; and three sisters, Veronica Varriano of East Brunswick, LuAnn Vagle of Walton, NY, and Madeline Savoca of Lithia, FL.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Entombment will be at Marlboro Memorial Cemetery, 361 Highway 79, Morganville, NJ 07751. For those who desire, memorial contributions in Donna’s name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
