Joseph M. Blazejewski, 68, of Freehold Township passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 21, 2017 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born and raised in Jersey City, and had lived in Piscataway before settling in Freehold Township in 1986. Joe worked as an electrician for IBEW Local 164, Paramus for over 40 years, retiring in 2013. He was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Freehold. Joe was a jack of all trades and enjoyed his gadgets. He enjoyed traveling abroad with his wife and daughters. Joe especially loved to entertain family and friends, either on his boat, “The Blaze”, or at his home in which he took great pride in. He was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan but always put his family first. Joe touched the lives of everyone he met with his smile and laughter.
Joe was predeceased by his father, Joseph Blazejewski in 1992. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Fran Blazejewski of Freehold Township; daughters, Melissa Blazejewski of New York City, and Nicole Blazejewski of Freehold Township; mother, Dorothy Blazejewski of Howell; sister, Patricia Mozingo and her husband, Peter of Massillon, Ohio; mother-in-law, Phyllis Bruzzese of Monroe; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Kleinert of East Brunswick; brother-in-law, Frank Bruzzese of New Hope, PA; nieces and nephews, Jill Covert, PJ Mozingo, Darrell Mozingo, Michael Kleinert, Ryan Kleinert; grand nieces, Bianca Covert and Dallas Covert; and his faithful canine companion, Riley.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold. Interment will be private.
