It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our devoted husband, loving father, brother, uncle, dearest and caring relative, trusted and amiable friend, Wesley Nathaniel Bailey, Jr. which occurred on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 10:48am at Jersey Shore University Medical Hospital located in Neptune, New Jersey.

Wesley has served in academia for over 27 years of which the last 10 were spent as an Assistant Principal in the Lakewood NJ school district.

He always had a twinkle in his eyes, an infectious smile, a firm handshake or a warm embrace when he met you. You could see the concern in his face and feel the love and compassion in his voice when you needed him.

He was passionate about the well-being of his family, friends, and strangers he met along the way. He was selfless in his endeavors to make a positive impact in not only their lives, but in the lives of their children, parents and other relatives. He always had a twinkle in his eyes, an infectious smile, a firm handshake or a warm embrace when he met you. You could see the concern in his face and feel the love and compassion in his voice when you needed him.

Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley Nathaniel Bailey Sr, and Mrs. Edna Tolbert-Bailey, his three older brothers, Leonard, Ernest and Tilmon and his mother in law Mrs. Mattee “Cee” Cooper with whom he had a special bond.

Surviving him are his devoted and ever loving wife of 34 years, Mrs. Louise Sharene Marlaweh Cooper- Bailey, his endearing children Wesley Nathaniel Bailey III, Candace, and Ze Zeon, his nephew/son, and his sister in law/daughter, Maido Cooper-Henderson.
