Obituary for Frederick Alexander "Rick" Eyerman

Frederick Alexander "Rick" Eyerman
Frederick “Rick” Eyerman, 74, of Howell passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 after a 6 year battle with cancer. A life-long resident of Monmouth County, Rick was born in Long Branch to Victor and Henrietta Eyerman on June 26, 1943.
Rick attended Long Branch H.S. and was a graduate of NYU. A proud veteran of the US Army, Rick served during the Vietnam War. After a long career on Wall Street, Rick purchased Coast Hardware, Long Branch, in 1987. He retired in 2016.
Memories of Rick will include his wonderful sense of humor and his kindness. His passions included attending to his well-manicured lawn while riding his John Deere tractor and his fondness for Schmidts beer.
Rick is survived by his beloved wife of 14 years, Cathy; the mother of his three children, Carolyn Eyerman; children, Tara Walsh, Keith Eyerman, and James Eyerman; 13 grandchildren; and his sister Lynn Eyerman.
Our family is so grateful for the love and support during this difficult time. We will never forget your kindness. We are thankful for our life together; he left us too soon, we will miss him every day.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to The Seeing Eye Foundation, 10 Washington Valley Road, Morristown, NJ. A memorial service will be held at a later date. For information or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
