Obituary for Vincenzo L. Fusco

Vincenzo L. Fusco, 74, of Freehold Township passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Vincenzo was born in Monte Forte, Italy where he played soccer. At the age of 18, he moved to Brooklyn and eventually settled in Freehold Township in 1975. Vincenzo enjoyed gardening and traveling back to his hometown. He was a harness horse driver and trainer. He raced in Freehold, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and New York. Vincenzo was loved dearly by his family.

He was predeceased by his parents, Carmine Fusco and Antonietta Fusco. Vincenzo is survived by his adoring wife of 55 years, Grace Fusco, and their eleven children; Rita Jackson and husband Dale of Freehold Township, Carmine Fusco and wife Christie of Bath, PA, Antonia Fusco of Freehold Township, Vincent Fusco and wife Michelle of Manalapan, Brigida Betlow and husband Robert of Crown Point, Indiana, Andriana Fusco of Jackson, Joseph Fusco and wife Dana of Freehold Township, Paul Fusco and wife Robyn of Jackson, Peter Fusco of Freehold Township, Maria Reid and husband Michael of North Hanover, and Elizabeth Bryant and husband Jason of Freehold Township. Vincenzo’s legacy is also carried out by his twenty-six grandchildren, Vincent, Grace, Robert “Bobo”, Gabrielle, John, Kimberly, Andrew, Antonietta, Matthew, Shelby, Annie, Jake, Ryan, Max, Nicole, Mackenzie, Aiden, Sage, Thomas, Angelina, Joseph, Ryley, Makena, Ally, Isabella, Carson and great grandson, Noah, son of Kimberly. He is also missed by Stephanie, Missy, Mackenzie, and Ivan. Vincenzo is survived by his siblings, Joseph Fusco and wife Carmela of Brooklyn, Carmela DiLeo and husband Salvatore of Brooklyn; and Gaetanina Fusco and wife Gennarelli of Italy and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, July 26th and Thursday, July 27th, 2017 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township on Friday, July 28, 2017. Procession to Monmouth Memorial Park will follow.
