Mary Jean  Iorio
Mary Jean Iorio, 84, of Howell, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. She was born in Jersey City and in 1968 she moved to Howell where she had lived since. Mary worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Point Pleasant Hospital and Freehold Area Hospital, retiring 25 years ago.
She was predeceased by her husband, Guiseppe G. Iorio. Mary is survived by her two sons, Stephen Iorio of Connecticut and Andrew D. Iorio of Jackson; two daughters, Jean Marie Marieno-McGowan of Lakewood and Michele Nichols of Jackson; seven grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; one sister, Joan Convery of Jackson; many close relatives; and a special thank you to the staff of Meridian at Home Hospice in Neptune for the care they have shown to our mother and family.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral mass on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 9:30 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale, NJ 07727. Interment will take place at 11:30 AM at Brigadier General William C. Doyle New Jersey Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.
