Eleanor N.  Ganslen (Tosello)
Eleanor N. Ganslen, 91, a 71-year resident of Farmingdale, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2017. Eleanor was an impassioned educator as a substitute teacher in the Howell Township Public School System for over 25 years. Her zealousness towards learning was passed down to all of her children and grandchildren.

Eleanor was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 3, 1926 shortly after her parents Mary and John Tosello emigrated from Treviso, Italy. Her children were the proud beneficiaries of her Italian cultural heritage, particularly its cuisine, which she mastered for everyone’s pleasure!

She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Egidio Tosello of Park Forest, IL; her husband of 69 years, Raymond H. Ganslen (1924-2014) of Farmingdale; and son, Thomas Ganslen (1949-2005). Eleanor is survived by her sons, Stephen Ganslen of Farmingdale, and Kenneth Ganslen of Hinton, WV; daughters, Lora Murphy and her husband, Richard of Walkersville, MD, and Lisa Recupero and her husband Darren of Summit, NJ; three grandchildren Jennifer and husband William Burns IV of Ramsey, Justin Recupero and Ryan Recupero of Summit; two great-granddaughters Josephine Burns and Shannon Burns; one great-grandson William Burns V.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM funeral service at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, July 14, 2017.
