Obituary for Ross Edwin Stauffer

Ross Edwin  Stauffer
Ross Edwin Stauffer, 91, of Farmingdale, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Brandywine Living at Howell. He was born in Paterson, moved to Farmingdale, retired in Winter Haven FL, and then moved back to Farmingdale two and a half years ago. Ross worked as a mechanical engineer for the U.S. Government, retiring in 1969. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. during WWII and was an advisor for the U.S. Coast Guard in Vietnam. Ross was active in the Senior Olympics at Winter Haven and an avid water skier.

Ross is survived by his son, Grant of Farmingdale; two daughters, Eileen Maclearie of Spring Lake Heights and Bonnie Wilson of Florida; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a sister, Lois Collier of Vineland.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township on Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM with his funeral service to follow. Interment will be at Brigadier General William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown on July 5, 2017 at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
