Obituary for Jane E. Andreen

Jane E. Andreen, 84, of Howell, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. She was born in Long Branch and raised in Howell. Jane was a 1953 graduate and proud alumni of Jersey City Nursing School and worked as a Registered Nurse for over 50 years and retired from CentraState Medical Center. Jane belonged to the First United Methodist Women of Farmingdale. In her spare time, Jane enjoyed nature, reading, and marveling about the advances in medicine. She will always be remembered as a kind and gentle soul.
Jane was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Andreen; sisters, Alice, Emma and Ann; and her son-in-law, Douglas Mauer. She is survived by her children, Ralph Andreen of Farmingdale, Elsie Andreen Mauer of Seabring, FL, James Andreen of Farmingdale, Marie Andreen of Howell and Rachel Andreen of Farmingdale; grandchildren, Paisley Andreen of South Carolina, Zachary and Joy Andreen of Wall; and her brother, Tom Lippincott of Howell.
Visitation will be held at the Farmingdale First United Methodist Church, 8 Main Street, Farmingdale, NJ on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and Monday, June 5, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM funeral service at Farmingdale First United Methodist Church on Monday, June 5, 2017. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jane’s name may be made to the Farmingdale First United Methodist Church, Post Office Box 128, Farmingdale, NJ 07727.
