Teresa Lista, 91, of Great Kills, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Wedgwood Gardens Care Center, Freehold Township. Teresa was born and raised in Brooklyn, and eventually settled in Staten Island. She was the last surviving sibling of fourteen brothers and sisters. Teresa worked as a seamstress for designer women’s clothing for over 30 years. A beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she loved spending time with and cooking for her family. Teresa also enjoyed playing cards and taking trips to Atlantic City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lista in 2007. Teresa is survived by her three sons, Edward Lista and his wife, Monica of Freehold Township, Felice Lista and his wife, Margaret of Middletown, and Robert Lista and his wife, Marguerite of Staten Island; seven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Entombment will follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.
