Jean Jeanette Caracappa, of Jackson, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in The Bronx, NY, raised in Brooklyn, and had lived in Staten Island before settling to Jackson in 2005. Jean was a very giving person and treasured her family. She loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren, music, singing, and cooking Italian dishes at family gatherings.

Jean was predeceased by her husband, Philip T. Caracappa in 2013. She is survived by her three daughters, Susan Tabone and her husband, Frank of Jackson, Linda DiMartino of Staten Island, and Donna Stile and her husband, Steve of Jackson; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 8:15 AM at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 for the procession to her 9:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Aloysius Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Road.
