Obituary for Lucy D. Campolo (Carapella)

Lucy “Cupie” Campolo, 74, of Jackson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at home. The youngest of 10, she was born in Brooklyn, and lived there until moving to Jackson in 1967. She was known for her cooking, especially her Italian dishes. Prior to working in the Stop & Shop in Jackson, Lucy was the hotdog lady in the Howell Pathmark. She was full of life, love and laughter.
Lucy is survived by her husband of 50 years, Tom Campolo; son, Thomas Campolo and his wife, Sharon of Mays Landing; two grandchildren, Ava and JT; and siblings, Beni, Ida, Dolly, Anna and George.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 8:00 AM on Monday, May 22, 2017 at the funeral home for the procession to her 9:15 AM Funeral Mass at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson. Interment will follow in Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.
