The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Vincent Placanica can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: I was very sorry to hear of Vinny’s passing. I worked with Vinny for a number of years at Dun and Bradstreet and later at CSC. Vinny had a way of making us all laugh and we all enjoyed his company and working with him. I offer my condolence to his family and friends for their loss.

Condolence: Our thoughts and prayers are with the Placanica family. Vinnie was a shining star at camp. He touched the lives of so many children; he gave them the gift of confidence and accomplishment, with a bit of humor on the side. His smile brought joy to our hearts always, and as a fellow NY replant, I loved to hear him speak - it made me feel like I was home. Rest in peace, "Chief". You were loved more than you'll ever know. Our hearts are with you all, "Sweet-n-Low" and "Dust Bunny"

Condolence: What can I say about my only brother. You and I were the middle children with older sister Joanne and younger sister Marie. We went to school together at FDR and it was a blast. So proud of the man you became, so proud of the father you were. And husband I know you loved Paulette TRULY. I am saddened with your passing but I will celebrate your life through your children and your wife. You were my BRO and I was your SIS as we affectionatly called eachother. You will be in my heaqrt and on my mind forever.
