Obituary for Robert G. Kayser Sr.

Robert G. Kayser, Sr., 83, of Howell, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at home. Robert was born in Newark and had lived in Lakewood prior to moving to Howell thirteen years ago. He was the owner and pharmacist of The Medicine Shoppe, Lakewood since 1976 retiring in 1997. Previously, Robert was the Chief of Pharmacy at Paul Kimball Hospital. A Ford Mustang enthusiast, he was an avid Shelby and Cobra car collector. Robert was an expert in car and car parts collecting. Racing at Wall Stadium, he owned the championship 4Q Race Team. Robert was an active member of Hope Presbyterian Church, Lakewood and served on their Session. Robert enjoyed spending time with family, especially fishing with his grandsons.
Robert is survived by his wife, Christine; a son, Dr. Robert Kayser, Jr. and his wife, Colleen of Howell; a daughter, Linda Crittenden and her husband, Ben of North Brunswick; four grandsons, Marcus, Angelo, Brandon, and Zachary; and two brothers, William Kayser of South Carolina and Donald Kayser of Lakewood.
Relatives and friends may gather at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM with his memorial service to follow at 12:30 PM.
