Peter N. "Pete" San Filippo
Peter N. San Filippo, 42, of Jackson passed away suddenly on Friday, March 17, 2017. Pete was born in Union, raised in Jackson and had lived in Brick and Howell before returning to Jackson in 2006. Pete was a graduate of the Jackson Memorial High School Class of 1993 and Montclair State University Class of 2002. He was a marketing executive for Boynton & Boynton Insurance Company, Fair Haven. A parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Pete enjoyed playing golf and softball. He was an amazing father and his daughter was the apple of his eye. The unconditional love he gave her will continue to be a powerful force in her life.
He was predeceased by his father, Peter San Filippo in 2013. Pete is survived by his wife of 14 years, Judith San Filippo; daughter, Shay Dorothy San Filippo; mother, Janice San Filippo of Toms River; brother, Thomas San Filippo of Toms River; maternal grandmother, Marie Kilian-Partis of Largo, FL; his in-laws, Anthony and Patricia Pisano of Jackson, Jean Marie Yuro and her husband, Robert of Howell, Jennifer Makara and her husband, Andrew of Sayreville and Barry Pisano of Freehold; six nephews; one niece; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold Borough. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Toms River. For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to the family for his daughter’s future.
