Obituary for Claus Cyriacus

Claus Cyriacus, 74, of Manalapan passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Claus was born and raised in Hamburg, Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1960. He lived up and down the East Coast, residing in Ringwood prior to settling in Manalapan in 1988. Claus had a long and successful career in the automotive industry, the highlight being his position as the National Service Manager for BMW North America, Montvale. Claus loved cheering on the Hamburg SV soccer team, and the NY Giants. A beloved Opa, his family and his animals were his passion.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Gerhard Cyriacus. Claus is survived by his wife of 54 years, Karin Cyriacus; children, Linda Cyriacus and her husband, Alex Flores of Tinton Falls, Michael Cyriacus and his wife, Diane of Pt. Pleasant, and Pete Cyriacus and his wife, Justine of Doylestown, PA; four grandchildren, Nicole Cyriacus, Gretchen Cyriacus, Emelia Flynn and William Flynn; and his faithful canine companion, Cassie.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
