Obituary for Maria "Maya" Tkaczevski (Rummel)

Maria “Maya” Tkaczevski, 71, of Manchester passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Maya was born in Austria, raised in Venezuela, and had lived in Long Beach, NY and Astoria, Queens. She raised her family in Lakewood and had wintered in Brooksville, FL before moving to Manchester. Maya was a member of St. Alexander Nevsky R.O. Cathedral, Howell. She had a passion for shopping, a devotion to jewelry, and a love for spoiling her grandchildren.
Maya was predeceased by her husband, Richard Tkaczevski. She is survived by her three children, Robert Rummel and his wife, Vivian of San Marcos, CA, Sasha Loftus and her boyfriend, Paul Columbus of Medford Lakes, NJ, and Olga Schmid and her husband, Robert of Burlington; five grandchildren, Brittany, Jordan, Eamon, Robert, Jr., and Michael; and two sisters-in-law, Lucia Kluev and Lydia Tkaczevski.
A pannyhida will be held at Our Lady of Tikhvin Church, 200 Alexander Avenue, Howell on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 7:30 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM funeral service at the church on Friday, March 3, 2017. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lakewood.
