Anna T. Garbelotto, 95, of Freehold passed away suddenly at Overlook Hospital, Summit. She was born, raised and lived in Brooklyn, and settled in Freehold in 1984. A parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and a member of the Freehold Township Senior Center, Anna enjoyed playing Bingo and Rummikub, and trips to Atlantic City. She treasured spending time with her family and having fun with her friends, but her heart belonged to her late husband, Romeo.
She was predeceased by her husband, Romeo Garbelotto; two great grandsons, Zachary and Romeo; one great granddaughter, Aisling; and two brothers, Joseph Gaudino and Angelo Gaudino. Anna is survived by her daughters, Esther Van Buskirk and her husband, George of Gillette and Lucille Urciuoli and her husband, Joseph of Manahawkin; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Caruso and her husband, Gregory of South Plainfield, George Van Buskirk, Jr. and his wife, Katherine of Port Monmouth, Sara McCabe and her husband, James of Scotch Plains, Marisa Van Buskirk of Summit, and Joseph Urciuoli and his wife, Lauren of Freehold Township; and ten great grandchildren, Gregory, Jr., Jonathan, Julia, Amanda, Anna, Olivia, Walker, Laoise, Christopher and Nicholas.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 9:00 AM at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, 299 Freehold Englishtown Road, Freehold Township. For those who desire, donations in memory of Anna may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
