Dorothy M. Preston, 86, of Manalapan passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Dorothy was born and raised in Glendale, NY and moved to Freehold Township in 1996 when her late husband retired. In 2010 she settled in Manalapan where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law. Dorothy enjoyed playing bingo and was an animal lover. An avid Mets fan, she loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bryan G. Preston in 2006. She is survived by her three loving daughters, Janice Vesey and her husband, Kevin of St. James, NY, Patricia Putre and her husband, John of Mahopac, NY, and Jacqueline Fuchs and her husband, Gary of Manalapan; and her adoring grandchildren, Kevin Vesey and his wife, Luiza, Nicole Rivera and her husband, Michael, Sean Vesey, John Putre and his wife, Angela, Daniel Vesey, Lauren Fuchs, Kristen Lubrano and her husband, Justin and Stephen Vesey.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Monday, January 2, 2017 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 10:30 AM for the procession to her 11:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
