Stephen J. Sorgente, 64, of Howell passed away at home on Sunday, November 6, 2016. Born and raised in Staten Island, he lived in Brooklyn before moving to New Jersey 30 years ago. Stephen was an enthusiastic Yankee fan and loved the water. He enjoyed fishing, traveling to the Islands and scuba diving. Stephen will be best remembered as a loving husband, devoted father and adoring grandfather.

He was predeceased by his father, Ciro “Jerry” Sorgente in 2008 and his sister, Nancy Molinari in 2014. Stephen is survived by his wife of 18 years, Wendy Sorgente of Howell; his children, Amanda Enea and her husband, Egidio of Howell, and Ryan Featherman of Atlantic City; two grandchildren, Lily Enea and Luke Enea; his mother, Elizabeth Sorgente of Staten Island; a brother, Gerald of Staten Island; and his faithful canine companion, Jack.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM with his 7:00 PM funeral service to follow at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
