Peter J. Kopack, Jr, 71, of Farmingdale, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Ocean Medical Center in Bricktown following a courageous battle with cancer and diabetes. Pete was born to Peter and Olga Kopack at Fitkin Hospital and then lived his life in Farmingdale, New Jersey where he grew up to enjoy hunting, fishing, surfing, and riding motorcycles. Pete was extremely outgoing, loved his country and the outdoors. Having always worked multiple jobs, he looked forward to his recreation. Pete enjoyed being involved within the community and was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. He graduated from the Freehold Township High School, and then served in the US Army as an Information Specialist from 1966 to 1968 in Okinawa during the Vietnam War. Pete met his loving wife Pat, and was happily married for over 45 years. He worked for the National Park Service at Sandy Hook, while attending Trenton State College to attain his bachelor in arts degree in teaching industrial arts and computer science. Having taught in the Red Bank School District, Pete was loved by his students and teaching colleagues, having earned the Governor's Teacher Recognition Award in 1987. Additionally, he loved being made part of the Electronic Concepts Incorporated, ECI family for over 30 years, along with the wonderful memories that were shared. Throughout his retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his adored grandchildren, and working on his many projects. He battled his illness to the very last day, and always continued to put one foot forward despite all odds. Pete leaves his beloved family and friends, and appreciates such kindness and devotion, and to all the memories. “Remember always do the best you can do, one day at time”.

Pete leaves his loving wife of 45 years, Pat Kopack; his sons, Brian, Kevin, and Peter and his wife, Laura Kopack; his grandchildren, Jake, James, Lilianne, Peter John, IV and Jackson; and many close relatives and friends.
