Mae  Pekarchik (Errickson)
Mae Pekarchik, loving wife, mother and grandmother went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 20, 2016. She died peacefully in her Farmingdale home where she had lived with her husband of over 60 years. Mae was born and raised in Howell.
Mae loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a former active member of the First Baptist Church of Asbury Park where she was a deaconess. More recently, she became a member of Cross Point Baptist Church in Farmingdale, and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Mae was a wonderful homemaker and mother. She loved her sister, Edna Erbe. Mae, or Nan as she was known, loved her children and doted on her grandchildren. Mae also loved her little dog, Allie. Special friends include Pastor Dave and Marilyn Tosi, Toby Luman, and Sam Tosi.
Mae was predeceased by her parents, Augustin and Nolana Errickson; her brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Evelyn Errickson; and love of her life, John Pekarchik. She is survived by her two sisters, Edna Erbe and Eleanor Waldrup. She is also survived by her children, Shirley Ann Lee and her husband, Bart, of Beachwood, John Pekarchik, Jr. and his wife, Vickie, of Manasquan, her 24/7 caregiver, Ronald Pekarchik of Farmingdale, and Janice Philpot and her husband, Glenn Steven, of Bradley Beach; grandchildren, Robin, Todd, Tim, Scott, David, Erica, Dana, Ronnie and Jonathan; and great grandchildren, Brandon, Ashley, Anthony, Amanda, Kyle, Siena, Nate, Vivian and Dylan.
Visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Rout 524), Freehold Township on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of her life and her home-going to heaven on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 9:00 AM at Cross Point Baptist Church, 462 Squankum Yellowbrook Road, Farmingdale. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mae may be made to Slavic Missionary Services or Cross Point Baptist Church.
