Josephine C.  Anderson
Josephine C. Anderson, 84, of Freehold Township passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Manhattan, she was raised and lived in Brooklyn before moving to Kissimmee, FL. She moved to Freehold Township in 2012 to live with her daughter. Josephine was a homemaker, caring for her family, but had worked for Coty Cosmetics, Manhattan as a lab technician. She lived a beautifully creative life as a classically trained opera singer. And was an artist in the medium of oil paintings.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Anderson in 1995. Josephine is survived by her five children; Arthur Anderson of Kissimmee, FL, Jodi Heeb and her husband, Patrick of Freehold Township, Ronald Anderson and his fiancee, Robin Arian of Lewisville, TX, Erik Anderson and his wife, Kristy of Brooklyn, NY, and Andrew Anderson and his wife, Sandra Jo of Lebanon, Ohio; fifteen grandchildren; her sister, Joan Crowley of Kissimmee, FL; nephew John Crowley of Kissimmee; and niece, Janice Cummins of NJ.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold on Saturday, September 3, 2016. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island. In lieu of flowers, Josephine’s family ask that you pray for their mother.
