Obituary for Marion Imbornoni (Donnelly)

Marion Imbornoni, 88, of Freehold Township passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 19, 2016. Marion was born in the Bronx and raised in Brooklyn. She lived and raised her family in Brooklyn. Marion retired and moved to Lions Head South, Brick, NJ and spent the winters in Jupiter, FL at Marina in the Bluffs until moving to Applewood Estates in 2013. She was a homemaker. Marion was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold, a former parishioner of Visitation Catholic Church, Brick and St. Thomas Aquinas (Flatlands), Brooklyn. She was an avid reader that could not put a book down. Marion enjoyed spending time with her husband during happy hour just before dinner either here in New Jersey or on the balcony in Florida. Her true love was her family.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Herbert Imbornoni; six sons, Herbert Imbornoni and his wife, Beidi of Lincoln Park, NJ, Lawrence Imbornoni and his wife, Gail of Orlando, FL, James Imbornoni and his wife, Stephanie of Yonkers, NY, William Imbornoni and his wife, Barbara of Floral Park, NY, John Imbornoni of Greenwich, CT, and Richard Imbornoni of East Rutherford, NJ; and seven grandchildren, Rebecca Imbornoni, Katelyn Imbornoni and her fiancé, Greg Tavolacci, Michael Imbornoni, Robert Imbornoni, Bridget Imbornoni, Daniel Imbornoni, Gabrielle Imbornoni.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, August 22, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friend are invited to gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 10:30 AM for the procession to her 11:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, Freehold.
