The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Dorothy Ackerman can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: I'm so saddened to learn of Dotty's passing. Our cousin was one of the very very few Shults women! Out of 9 original boys, Dot was the first Shults girl born and my mother was the second; my daughter is the 4th and my cousin Laura rounds out the entire current population!

My mother informed me last night of Dot's passing, but we are currently on vacation in Virginia, and it's doubtful that we will be able to return in time to attend. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Dot's immediate family; deepest condolences.
