Obituary for Theresa M. Nugent (Dente)

Theresa M. Nugent, 54, of Millstone passed away at home on Friday, May 13, 2016. She was born in Kearny, raised in Clark and lived in North Brunswick before settling in Millstone in 2002. Theresa was a devoted mother to her three children, Gregory, Marissa, and Erica. She was recognized as a beautiful and amazing person by all who knew her, and together she and her husband of 27 years, Dennis, created an exceptional life filled with joy. Her passions included working out, spending time with family and friends, planning and hosting holidays and other celebrations, and bringing everybody together. She radiated love and everyone she touched was grateful to have had her in their lives. Her passing will leave a void that will never be filled.

In addition to her husband and children, Theresa is survived by her parents, Guy and Jill Dente of Neptune; sister Debbie Jacobsen and her husband, Jake, of Clark; brother Guy Dente and his wife, Debbie, of Brick; in-laws Nick and Josephine Nugent of Clark; brothers-in-law Jay Nugent and his wife Karla, of Hewitt; and Thomas Nugent of Roselle; two nieces, Tara Jacobsen and Kelly Dente; two nephews, Derek Jacobsen and Zack Dente; and Ace, her excitable Chocolate Lab. Theresa was a parishioner at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Millstone.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 8:30 AM for the procession to her 10:00AM Funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 91 Stillhouse Road, Millstone. Interment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Freehold Township. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in memory of Theresa be made to the NJSGA Caddie Scholarship Fund – notation the Claude Fusco III Memorial Fund at 3 Golf Drive, Suite 206, Kennilworth, NJ 07033.
